Our Story

Far and away in the mystic North, a road passes through deserts, mountains, waters and probably human beings too. Though geographically, it runs through valley of Shigar and spiritually, it carries the signature of time but honestly, it leads to Askolay. This first Village on Pakistani side, still lives in the medieval time where learning is first hand, interactive and inspiring. A settlement of around a hundred household, life in Askolay runs in the same primitive manner which instigated the desire, the dream and subsequent to it was struggle and deserve, only to culminate at Achievement. A place where a shepherd wandering towards the glacier can tell you the secret of learning, where “Self connection” is the best cure for all the issues and where things tend to re-connect. A place where every mountaineer stops for a while; thinks in his heart that sky is the limit and leave for the limitless boundaries. Conversely, an achiever who is turning back can see the first trace of human civilization. Inspired from this tradition of learning and excellence, which is very much our own in nature and context, we intend to carry that light of human endowment. We resolve to nurture the flame of self-refinement, regardless of time and irrespective of place. Askolay is a platform to equip people for Re-connection; Capacity Building, Personality Development, Soft Skills, Leadership and Content Development Skill building will come by default.
